INTRODUCTION

Helping others is our main goal.

We promote a blood donation drive every year in coordination with Sikh Nation and Canadian Blood Services. Langar, the community kitchen of the Gurdwara, serves free meals to everyone, regardless of religion, caste, gender, economic status, or ethnicity. People sit on the floor and eat together, and the kitchen is maintained and run by Sikh community volunteers.

Community Services

Promoting Blood Donation Drive

We promote a blood donation drive every year in coordination with Sikh Nation and Canadian Blood Services.

Employment Information

Employers post job advertisements on the noticeboard in the Gurdwara Sahib to find suitable candidates. This helps people find good job opportunities.

Student Community Hours

High school students volunteer to fulfill their community service requirements. After completing their 40 hours, they receive a letter from the Gurdwara Sahib. While serving at the Gurdwara Sahib, students learn  how to improve the community and help those in need.

Various Volunteer Opportunities

Many individuals sentenced by courts to community service contact us to fulfill their required service hours. Additionally, some community members volunteer to enhance their profiles.

Free Meals

Langar, the community kitchen of the Gurdwara, serves free meals to all, regardless of religion, caste, gender, economic status, or ethnicity. People sit on the floor and eat together, fostering equality and unity. The kitchen is maintained and operated by Sikh community volunteers.

Information Distribution Centre

On a regular basis, various community-based organizations display their promotional literature on our community notice board, especially on weekends and special days. They set up an information table to educate the community about their activities.

Assisting Senior and Other Vulnerable Members of the Community

From time to time, senior members of our community seek assistance with their domestic issues. We provide limited advice and connect them with relevant agencies, such as Peel Regional Police.
